Union 10 Baldwin County FC’s aim is to introduce the players to the basics in a structured environment led by licensed, professional coaches. The Mini Academy Program is a glimpse of what the Union 10 BC (U9-U12) provides with less traveling. The coaching methods and ideas we have gained through coaching licenses will be shared with all coaches within Union 10 BC for the betterment of the organization as a whole.
There is no emphasis on the game results at this age. The players’ success will be measured by their ability to take what we have done in practice and use it in the games they play. We want to give the players the tools to fix the problems the games will present.
It is our goal with this program to provide soccer players an opportunity to be part of a high quality developmental program. Players should possess a strong desire and commitment to pursue competitive soccer. We feel it critical to teach the players to be comfortable with a ball at their feet. The Mini Academy will fine tune individual technique, create more confident technical players and use fast footwork and ball mastery to accelerate a greater soccer feel and understanding of the game.
In order to receive maximum player development, group members and players must commit to each training session to ensure the training environment and games are successful for the players. The Mini Academy teams train twice a week.
